From 1st August, the invoice line ‘Terminal Infrastructure Surcharge’ will now become ‘Terminal Infrastructure/Booking Charge’. This will reflect both the TIS & slot booking fee, per container.
As the Stevedores (container terminal operators) bill both the Terminal Infrastructure & Booking fees, direct to the transport companies, it makes sense to show them on one line of an invoice. This provides better clarity for the customer, rather than increasing the cartage rate every time these fees increase.
