COMMENCEMENT OF BLANK SAILINGS EX NORTH EAST ASIA
The shipping lines have commenced their capacity adjustments ex North East Asia to Australia in line with
their slow season policy. As a result they will withdraw vessels on a weekly basis, a practice which is
known as “blank sailings”. With a damaged vessel adding to an already congested Hong Kong port we
expect to see space issues at least until mid December. If you have a particularly urgent shipment due to
ship in December please let your CFL contact know. For further details please contact your local CFL
representative.
