FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS
There has been a lot of talk in the media recently regarding a series of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and
in particular the big trifecta from North Asia being, Korea, Japan and China. The FTA with Japan has
been signed and the Government hopes to have this Agreement enter into force in the very near future.

Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb has announced today that Australia's Free Trade
Agreement with South Korea will enter into force on 12 December 2014.

The FTA with China has been concluded and will hopefully come into force within the next 12 to 18
months.
Australia also hopes to conclude an Agreement with India within the next 12 months. For further details
